2012 WAS A GREAT YEAR WITH THE AMOUNT OF MONSTER BASS THAT WE LANDED AND WITH ALL THE VISITORS THAT MADE THE TRIP TO FISH FALCON,IT WAS A TRIP OF A LIFE TIME FOR SOME AND OTHERS DID NOT DO AS WELL BUT THEY STILL HAD A GREAT TIME.ZAPATA AND FALCON LAKE ARE A MYSTICAL PLACE TO VISIT WITH ALL THE STORIES OF BIG BASS AND THE DANGEROUS THEORIES THAT COME OUT OF SOME MEDIA REPORTS IT'S LIKE AN ADVENTURE WHEN YOU ARRIVE HERE IN TOWN,BUT IN REALITY IT'S A FRIENDLY LITTLE TOWN WITH A POPULATION OF BASS WITH A BAD ATTITUDE THAT'S ALL AND WHEN THEY TURN ON MOST PEOPLE WILL HAVE GREAT MEMORIES FOR A LIFE TIME. HERE ARE SOME PICTURES OF SOME OF THE GUIDED TRIPS THIS LAST MONTH OF THE YEAR.THE FISHING THIS LAST SPRING WAS OUT OF CONTROL WITH SOME MONSTER BASS MY PERSONAL BEST WAS A 15 POUND HOGZILLA! Lake level 266.50

welcome to our blog things have not changed a lot the fishing continues about the same lot's of smaller bass with a couple of nice hogs during the day the fish are always on the move almost like nomadic following the schools of shad, but here it's December and some are going to be ready to spawn by the end of this month the water level is holding at 266.50 and we did get some rain along the lake and to the Rio grande valley.smaller crank baits seams to be the bait of choice, the shad that they are targeting are small.things are running a few weeks behind and we are just waiting for the leaves to start to fall from the Arizona ash trees that is the start of winter for us here and the fish know when all of this is happening and will start on there feeding frenzy.we had one fish over ten the last week but the average has been about three to four pounds and the big ones are a bit slim due that they are always on the move and you know how hard is to target suspended fish.ramps are still in good working order for now but we always find a way to get our boats in the water even if the lake falls a couple of more feet, let's hope the lake comes up instead of down.  if you would like to come and fish we are ready to serve you and make your trip to falcon lake a success..
