June 13th 2010

Fishing in falcon lake this last week has been a little hot with a lot of wind, the
lake level is at 287.55 water temp. 84 degrees lake level came up half a foot in the past week, that has kept the fish scattered, when the lake level equalizes or starts dropping again the fishing will improve.on my last 4 trips the fish have averaged from 2 to 5 pounds with 3 fish over 8, and these fish were vicious. the best pattern has been windy points and wind blown banks, if you can hold your boat in position, we have been using half ounce to 3/4 ounce weights to keep our baits on bottom with this high wind. cant wait for the wind to slow down so we can get back on the off shore ledges and humps. best baits for the past week have been lake fork craw tube, kicker fish 11inch hightail ribbon tail, DD22 #149sp, 178, 234, also the lake fork 9inch hyper lizard carolina rigged with an ounce and a half weight fished super slow just let the big tail flutter, this has produced some wicked strikes.we havent heard of any incidents going on on the lake one thing we do is tell people to have plenty of sun screen and plenty ice and water. summer time pattern is hear if you want to come fish falcon and dont mind the hot weather and rod bending action give us a call or email us! ive got 4 days next week and we'll keep you posted on the patterns and catches.

until next report,

Robert

June 2nd 2010

We apologize for not up dating our fishing reports we been having web site problems,I assure you the fishing has been getting better and better every day the water temperature is at 84 degrees and you can catch fish in 1 to 6 ft on anything you throw at them but most fish are from 1lb to 4 lb with a couple of solid 6 and 7's bigger fish are relating to flooded brush on gravel humps and points am talking hawgs in the 7 to 10 pound range we had a excellent day yesterday we had doubles on two occasions and both fish were 7.11 and 8 3/4 and then 7.8 and 7.15 on the second double with 16 fish in that class range that is not counting the fish we had during the day.Falcon lake is known for a late bite maybe the fish are waiting for the anglers to go in for refreshments before they go on there feeding frenzy, it was fierce action and with the water temp in the mid 80's this fish will fight all the way to the boat . lake level is not falling as mush Amistad is release some water and falcon is slowed down on the release also, with the reports of pirates and tugs on the Mexico side ,anglers and boaters are warned not to fish Mexico waters,we been fishing the U.S.A side for the last 3 months due to the problems over there.I have been fishing mostly every day and have not seen any thing different but I'm always aware of the area I'm fishing and hope our law enforcement will get thing under control,Border Patrol and wardens are on the water more now and I see them regularly we actually have more security then before ,we have a couple of tournaments coming up and her are some # to have for assistance on the lake Game Warden{956-500-3119}Border Patrol {956-519-5600} ..Here are some photos of some happy customers on resent trips May fishing at it's best!
