WATER LEVELS

THE RAIN FINALLY CAME AND WE HAD ABOUT 5 INCHES OF RAIN HERE IN FALCON AND LOT'S UP STREAM THE LAKE CAME UP A FOOT AND IT WILL BE COMING UP THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS THE RIO GRANDE IS FLOWING AND IT GREAT NEWS FOR THE LAKE BUT THE FISHING GETS A LITTLE TOUGH WITH THE WATER RISING,THE FISH JUST WONT LOCK IN AS WELL WHEN THE LEVEL GOES UP AND DOWN.WE BEEN HAVING SOME GREAT DAYS OF FISHING BUT THE MEGA BASS ARE LAYING LOW AND FOR MOST WE BEEN CATCHING FISH UP TO EIGHT POUNDS WE HAD A NINE POUNDER A COUPLE OF DAYS AGO BUT MOST HAVE BEEN IN THE THREE TO SIX POUND RANGE,STILL NOT BAD FOR THE LAST SIX DAYS YOU JUST CANT GO AND FISH MANY LAKES AND CATCH THAT QUALITY OF FISH IN A SEVEN DAY PERIOD SOME TIMES WE GET SPOILED WITH THE AMOUNT OF FISH OVER NINE TO ELEVEN BUT WE ARE THANKFUL THAT WE HAVE A TON OF BASS IN THE ONE TO THREE POUND RANGE  THERE IS A POST IN THE MOUTH OF GOOSE BAY THAT IS NOW JUST BELOW THE SURFACE AND TWO IN THE MOUTH OF BIG AND LITTLE TIGERS ALL THREE ARE NEXT TO THE SUNKEN BRIDGES SO IF YOU ARE FISHING THE ARE BE CAREFUL THEY WILL PUT A HOLE IN THE BOAT.CRANK BAITS ARE STILL THE BEST FOR HOOKING UP WITH THE BETTER FISH CAROLINA RIGS ARE NEXT AND THE FOOT BALL JIG IS THIRD IN MY LIST FLIPPING BITE IS ALWAYS GREAT IF YOU LOVE TO FLIP TREES.ONE THING WE ALL NEED TO DO IS TO HAVE THE STATE DECLARE THE CORMORANTS A INVASIVE SPECIE THE WILL CLEAN UP ALL OUR LAKES WE HAVE THOUSANDS AND WHEN THEY CORRAL THE FISH THEY WILL EAT AND KILL EVERYTHING IN THERE PATH MEXICO STOKED 100,000 FINGERLINGS IN THE LAKE LAST WEEK THEY HAD THEM IN BIG BAGS IN THOSE MEXICAN FISHING BOATS AND RELEASED THEM IN SALANIAS CREEK AND OUR TEXAS PARK AND WILD LIFE DEPARTMENT ALSO STOKED SOME TOO IN THE VELENO CREEK I DON'T KNOW THE NUMBER OF FINGERLINS BUT BOTH SIDES DID THERE CHAIR TO HELP THE LAKE BUT MOST WILL GET EATEN UP BY THE WATER TURKEYS AS WE CALL THEM.LAKE LEVEL IS AT 271.12 AND THE WATER TEMP IS AT 81 DEG,BASS CHAMPS WILL BE HERE TOMORROW AND THEY ARE GOING TO HAVE GOOD FISHING WEATHER WE WISH THEM A GOOD TOURNEY!!!!!
