November 14th 2010
Water temperature is slowly dropping and it's down to 70's the lake level is holding at 303 ft,water is not as clear but we had some windy days that is why some folks are doing good on spinner baits.
Fished with Hugo Galindo and son and there friend George the fishing before a cold front some times is a bit slow but we managed to catch some nice fish they had a great time!
Front blew in Saturday night wind was about 25 out of the north we were hoping the wind would lay by noon but it was about 3 pm and it was nice,Fished with Mark and Charlie we caught some good bass mostly on brush hogs and 10 in worms we worked areas we could fish out of the wind Charlie got his mostly flipping along creek channels and later we hit some other spots the fishing was slow for falcon standards but we got about 15 bass but then Mark hooked on to the mega bass it almost pulled the rig out of his hands but Mark won that battle!! a 9 pound 10 oz HAWG!!!
That what makes this Lake so mush fun you just don't know what you are going to hook a 2 pound or a 12 pound bass on your next cast, when you fish here some times you catch lot's of fish and big ones but on slow days with frontal conditions you will still have fun and always will manage to hang a big one.
Falcon Lake is ranked #2 in Texas but to me is still number one,I am looking for a great season! so come on down to fish and enjoy a great lake, give us a call for reservations Thanks to all and good fishing!!!!
