September 16th 2010
Getting all reels ready, new line oiled and check rod eyes, the weather is going to change this week end and the fish are going to gorge, always like it when the high moves on and the low pressure gets near and temperature drops.Mid September is transition time it's like clock work, especially when the lake level starts on a gradual fall its been steady at 304.40 for the last week and it's best when its drops a couple of inches per day it tends to pull fish out of the heavy cover.

It's time for heavy spinnerbaits swim baits and chatter baits, small square bill crankbaits will also work to locate the wolf packs we have a lot of good fish in the 3 to 5 pound range and when you find them you got them fighting for you bait the big fish will start to bunch up also.

Big ribbon tail worms Magnum Flukes with a 1/8 oz weight and swimd over tree tops is also a good way to hang some Hawgs I recommend 20 to 25 pound floro but 50 pound braid will also do the job. Some folks have been fishing Mexico side of the lake it does not matter where you fish, Falcon lake is full of bass you just have to find what they want to eat and pattern for the day, some days they will eat blades then on the next its back to soft plastics. That's why we love the sport it's never the same, fish have a mind of there own and it's us that has to figure them out and then get them in the boat.

If you like to fish Falcon e mail or call us for the Fall Season we have not had any problems and there is a lot of wardens,Border Patrol and the Coast Guard on the lake to make sure everyone is safe,i fish both U.S.A side and Mexico but will only fish U.S.A side till i feel is ok to go across and fish. You dont have to fish mexico side to catch monster bass there is miles of shore line and berry little pressure on Texas side Thanks Again and Good Fishing....
