June 13th 2010

Fishing in falcon lake this last week has been a little hot with a lot of wind, the
lake level is at 287.55 water temp. 84 degrees lake level came up half a foot in the past week, that has kept the fish scattered, when the lake level equalizes or starts dropping again the fishing will improve.on my last 4 trips the fish have averaged from 2 to 5 pounds with 3 fish over 8, and these fish were vicious. the best pattern has been windy points and wind blown banks, if you can hold your boat in position, we have been using half ounce to 3/4 ounce weights to keep our baits on bottom with this high wind. cant wait for the wind to slow down so we can get back on the off shore ledges and humps. best baits for the past week have been lake fork craw tube, kicker fish 11inch hightail ribbon tail, DD22 #149sp, 178, 234, also the lake fork 9inch hyper lizard carolina rigged with an ounce and a half weight fished super slow just let the big tail flutter, this has produced some wicked strikes.we havent heard of any incidents going on on the lake one thing we do is tell people to have plenty of sun screen and plenty ice and water. summer time pattern is hear if you want to come fish falcon and dont mind the hot weather and rod bending action give us a call or email us! ive got 4 days next week and we'll keep you posted on the patterns and catches.

until next report,

Robert
